Off Switch Using a Toy

I love flirt poles! I can usually get dogs interested in the toy. Think of making it act like prey - drag it on the ground (a lot of owners want to lift the toy into the air at first) and always move it away from the dog. A lot of owners want to move it towards the dog (as a way of offering it or showing it to the dog, I think). I have a friend who calls that the "suicidal rabbit." Grin. 

I think about making the toy act like a mouse and scurry away from the dog. Then, the first time the dog "catches" it, it goes still (like a mouse would). Then, it might try to "escape."
