Reviewing L6 Sit

On a recent training trip to the base hospital, Lily was able to Tuck Under my chair on a single cue, but didn't remember how to Tuck and Side under chairs on either side of mine.  Instead she lay down in front of the desired chairs.  Rather than attempt to train the behavior on site, I stopped cueing and decided to Review, Remind, Reteach at home first.

I initially taught the behavior in the family room and then moved to the living room as the Comeafter.  Lily remembered because the set up was the very same.

Time to generalize in another room, different configuration.  Not enough room to set up the tripod in the dining room, so took pictures after Lily "tucked" and "side" into position.  This was more problematic for Lily.  We had never practiced with this configuration, so ... time to reteach.

We need to continue to review Lily going under the chairs to the left and the right of my chair in this environment.

We returned to the base hospital to the lab waiting room and repeated the training there.  The lights went on and Lily scooted right under chairs left, right and under mine.  I'm so glad that Lily completed all seven levels in Steps to Service.  The review of earlier behaviors goes quickly, in most situations.
